The new tyre compliance scheme started on

Under the new Regulations all tyre operators must join Repak ELT.

Retailers

 

8 steps to completing your Repak ELT membership

1.  Join Repak ELT

2.  Email info@repakelt.ie to request your login details

3.  Complete your back reporting

4.  Adjust your software/ till system to show the vEMC

5.  Declare your opening stock of new tyres

6.  Display your Repak ELT membership certificate prominently in your business

7.  Brief your staff and customers

8.  Check your Producer is registered with the PRL.  If they are not you need to register as the Producer for the tyres you get from non members.

Producers

1.  Join Repak ELT

2.  Email info@repakelt.ie to request your login details

3.  Complete your back reporting

4.  Adjust your software/ till system to show the vEMC

5.  Check your customers have joined the scheme

6.  Display your Repak ELT membership certificate prominently in your business

7.  Register with PRL and display PRL number on all documents

8.  Brief your staff and customers

Reporting is completed from 1st to 15th of each month

Collectors

 

  • Apply online at repakelt.ie to become an authorised collector
  • Check your customers have joined the scheme.  From 1st October first you will be prohibited under the regulations to collect from an outlet that isn’t a member of the scheme.
  • Submit all the supporting documentation
  • Talk to Repak ELT about your options for reporting
  • Secure a recycling or recovery facility to manage your waste and submit corresponding third party verification forms (TPVF)
