Hell and Back – Promoting Tyre Safety

Hell and Back – Promoting Tyre Safety
September 4, 2018 Anne Marie Lambe

Following the success of the June event, Repak ELT will return for the second weekend of Hell and Back on September 29th and 30th.

As well as sponsoring Ireland’s largest tyre obstacle, we will be carrying out tyre checks on participants’ cars to highlight the importance of tyre safety and the environmental benefits of looking after your tyres.

We have installed recycled rubber matting in the shower area and tyre furniture such as seats and tables, where participants can relax after completing the obstacle course.

The re-use of end of life tyres at this event highlights the work the scheme is doing to ensure tyres are managed responsibly when they become waste.

To celebrate our involvement, we have four pairs of tickets to give to Repak ELT members.  Simply click on the link in the newsletter to be included in the draw which will take place on Monday 10th September.

This competition is now closed.

The Waste Management (Tyres and Waste tyres) Regulations 2017 came into effect on October 1st. Are you ready to join?
