The current Tyre Regulations stipulate that if you want to use waste tyres to anchor your silage pit you must register with Repak ELT and submit your herd number.
Free tyres from Authorised Collectors
Once registered you are entitled to get tyres free of charge to a maximum of 8 tyres per square meter of your silage pit area.
Farmers are prohibited from storing other waste tyres on farms, other than the temporary storage of tyres related to their business.
Report all tyre movements
Registered farmers must inform Repak ELT of all tyre movements on and off your farm.
All waste tyres coming off your farm must only be given to an Authorised Collector
